Griffin on Sunday

Larry Steimle just e-mailed me this picture. It was so beautiful, I had to post it. Sis. Steimle is Griffin's teacher in primary and she is always amazed at how well behaved Griffin is in primary. Just to note, he picked that shirt out himself. He IS beautiful!

A New Favorite Sport

Yesterday I had the opportunity to go dirt biking with my friend and her family. I've never ridden anything much more powerful than a mo-ped and I have hardly any experience using a clutch, so I was a little nervous, but it turned out to be a lot of fun and surprisingly easy. I started on a little 100cc bike, moved to a 125, and rode the last part on a 4-stroke 250. I figured I was probably going to fall off at least once, but I never did. The closest I came was near the end when I was feeling a little overconfident and I shot up a little hill that was a lot steeper than I had planned on, then it turned out that instead of there being a plateau on top there was just an equally steep incline on the other side, so I got a little air and had to avoid some large rocks. Lots of fun and no injuries! Now I just need to convince Dad to buy our family some dirt-bikes and four-wheelers...

Church can be fun...

You know that some churches have a marquee--a sign--out in front of their church. The following pictures of "church signs" were emailed to me by a friend:

I have a bunch of these; I am posting them on my own blog if you want to see the rest

Respectfully, Kylie

Kylie was picked as Most Respectful in her 2nd grade class today. We are very proud of her.

Then she was picked to have lunch with the principal because she was "caught being good".

Green Food

I just had my mid-morning snack. It's called SuperFood. It's a juice, and it is nice and thick and GREEN.

Christopher tried it a few weeks back. He said:
Wow. That's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

I'll take a picture and post it later.

Through the magic of the Internet, and Tim's cell phone camera, you can now see "SuperFood"

Steven and I went horseback riding. Lets just say that these pictures aren't the best we've ever taken. And yes...we had to wear the helmets.

Zak Super Saiyan

Zak also forgot to say that he became super saiyan before I did. (I would have used myself but all there was, was Zak)

what I've been doing

Steven says he's been busy studying at collage, and I've been doing some stuff too.

First, 8th grade hasn't been so hard, so I had time to be a bit lazy and
play video games/watch tv and stuff like that

This year, I joined the volleyball team. We practice every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, but we haven't had any games yet. in 2-3 weeks we will have our first game.

The season is over, but I was on the soccer team. I played very defensive positions most of the time (sweeper, right and left full back) but one game I played forward for a little while; and I got a goal! (yes the picture is fake, but I really did get a pretty sweet goal)

Finals

I'm not much of a fan of online journals, but I do like posting pictures. It's finals time at BYU, so here is a picture of what I will be doing a lot of for the next week.

Two points for whoever can give the name of the original sculpture and sculptor.

Family Vacation

SO! The vacation has been planned for August 9th to the 19th. Diana and Candice are teachers and may have difficulty getting time off work because they are probably scheduled to be at school during that time.

We'll find out and let people know. Diana and Candice work in different school districts with slightly, but similar schedules...

We'll do everything short of quitting the job to make it!

A Great Way to Post Notes!

This could be great for us! It is for me anyway. I'm on the computer all day at work doing customer service, helping people build their web sites. It's fun. I hope to see lots of messages here.

START UP!

Isn't it time we had a family blog!

It is a great way to keep in touch, see what we are all doing and thinking....well, maybe not everything.

I hope that off to the side we will have links to each individual family page - you know, the Cole's, the Hansen's, the Glenn's, the Payne's, the Payne's and the Juarez's!

I will now try to "invite" you in so you all can comment and make posts - please check often and tell us what is going on!!
