I'd Rather Do Anything Than Do HOMEWORK!

Zak is supposed to be doing homework, not too exciting.
He suggests that I take a picture of his socks that he wore to church today...
one inside out, the other correct.
We kept trying to take the right picture so you all could see Zak's gaff. Can you tell which is right and which is wrong?

Dad came by during the "photo shoot" and asked, "why are you wearing my socks?"

Then Quinn, who was previously doing homework, suggested that we try to take a picture of him moving around wildly and see if the camera will take a blurry picture.

No, it can't.
Then Zak thought he would give it a try. Their still pictures are very funny in a feminine kind of way. They were both twirling and moving like crazy.

HOMEWORK TIME NOW!!

Whistle While You Work

Griffin can't wait to help empty the dishwasher. He loves to put away the silverware.

That's a happy, working boy.

Dead Bug

Kylie did yoga today at Achievement Days (primary activity for 8-11 year old girls). She quite enjoyed it. Some of the poses were dead bug, tree, downward facing dog, mountain. Then the girls got to swim in the pool if they wanted to, most of them did. Kylie said that it was like swimming in the artic ocean.

alright parents... let's dance

Hello familia.

I've got a question for all of you who happen to be parents.

Preface: I can't wake up in the morning, I am consistently missing my first class like Manute Bol missed open jumpers.

Question: With your years of experience WELL beyond my own, what are some specific ways that you have found help to ensure that you will be up in time for work, school, or what have you? I will also accept answers regarding your own children and how you make sure they are awake, although they will not be eligible for as many points.

Aside: I will also accept answers from those of you who are not parents, but I can't guarantee that I will give them the same validity as the answers I receive from those of you who are so much more INCREDIBLY older than I am.

P.S. When I say "experience WELL beyond my own" I mean business. Seriously, a lot of you have decades on me. It's like the life experience you have is just a twinkle in my eye that is yet to be discovered. I don't want to use the term "old", but... well I think I've made my point.

Who is Zak and Who is Quinn

Today in church, Sis. Hix was speaking with "Zak" when she realized for the first time that she has always mixed up Zak and Quinn. She has apparently always thought Zak was Quinn and Quinn was Zak - until today! She went to talk to "Zak" about football and at that moment she realized her folly. Very funny.

I would like to thank the real Zak for creating this picture.

Dusty Car

Sometimes when you see a car that is very dusty/dirty, you will see that someone has written in the dust: "wash me", "I'm dirty". Well, I saw this car and thought that they were VERY creative. I don't know whose car this is, I just took it's picture. Now, if you have a dirty car, see if you can do better than this person!

What I learned In Accounting Today

how to be a gunner in a pit crew...
Can you see me?

Every year the accounting program has this motivational, team-building guy come in and do this. This is a real race car that has gone in many races. They retired it for this purpose. I was the front gunner, I was responsible for taking the 5 nuts off the wheels on the front side and putting them back on once the carrier threw the new wheel on. It was WAY fun. That gun puts those things on lightning fast. Our team of 7 replaced all four tires in about 80 seconds.
