Wanted: Mostly Alive

WANTED!
3 Boys left home
Mom needs "sighting" information
When and if you see them,
call, write or post
how are they doing, looking, what are they wearing?

Take a close look at their beautiful faces

Christopher, 23, very smart about computers, will "josh" you out of an ornery mood

Steven, 22, starting accounting, so don't expect to see much of him. He is very good with "photo shop", so if you, (Steven) don't like this picture, fix it.

Very Interesting...

Just to let you know, there have been 600 visits from 31 countries to our blog.

We have had visitors from Latvia and Estonia, Argentina and Chili.

Seven Visits from Illionis!

We are VERY interesting people.

Feel good about yourselves.

Snorkelers Beware!

I just wanted to show you a picture of what happened to Gil the last time he went snorkeling. His mask did not equalize and so it pulled all the blood to his eyes. This is what happened. Incidently, we have bought our own snorkel equipment for this trip for that reason. Mine is PINK - it is very cute.

Books for the Cruise

What books are you bringing on the cruise?
I am taking an Aunt Dimity mystery (think Miss Marpleish), Aunt Dimity's Good Deed
A Robin Cook thriller, Crisis
A book club selection (these are usually boring) Life of Pi
and Mom thinks one of my books I got at the library was for her but as long as she carries it in her suitcase I am happy for her to think so. It's another lighthearted mystery by Dorothy Cannell. I've never read her. It's called Bridesmaids Revisited. (An Ellie Haskell mystery. )

Don is bringing an historical fiction novel about King Alfred the Great called Lords of the North by Bernard Cornwell. He has read lots of Cornwells stuff. He really likes it. He's like Juliet Marilleir for men.

Most Magnificent Husband Has Done It Again!

The LT. Colonel has pulled rank on Verizon and they are sending me a new phone - free of charge! Ooh Hoo... Oh Yeah... I'll let you know when you can go back to calling me on my own number. I know some ofyou have been waiting with baited breath. Oh, and if that breath smells bad, I know where you can get a stick of gum...

Cruise Info

I just thought I would share some information on the cruise that might be helpful:

No shorts in the dining room - no levi's either. Heidi's boys tried to wear shorts in the dining room several times, it never worked.

Soda Drinkers! The sodas are not free - even at dinner, they cost around $1.10 each. You can opt for a $40 payment to have all the sodas you want (I think that is right, I know the cost is $40, but I am not positive that gives you all your drinks.)

Virgin Pina Coladas - cost around $5 -$6, they are good though.

There is no particular "dress-up" night.

Heidi also told me it was NOT a big deal to bring your own boogie boards. Just bring them, take off the "handle" and the airline will happily take them.

I have asked Heidi several other questions, as I get the answers, I will let you know.

What is it about me and bugs? AND Candice's House of Horrors.

Read on to hear the thrilling tales...

Cockroaches crawl on me in Texas. Then, I come home to Utah and spiders everywhere...

My first night I wake up in the middle of the night because Jenna is running her little fingers up my arm. She does it twice. But it's not Jenna. It's a (or more than one) spider. Two days later, I am drying off in the shower when I look down at my feet and, behold, a good-size spider had been resting in my towel and was now at my feet. The NEXT morning we run out of toilet paper and as reach under the sink and pick up a new roll OUT jumps one of the biggest spiders ever seen... the kind I had in Oklahoma. Light brown, the same color as the carpet, so I had to keep my eyes on it while I screamed for my children to fetch the killing stuff fast. I happily killed it. The next spider I see will probably be a tarantula.

OK. Maybe some of you will remember Dawney telling the story of Jenna stabbing me in the shoulder with a knife...was it Thanksgiving? Anyway. On Saturday I was electrocuted. Yes, I was. It hurt. I cried. Yes, Gil, I cried. Jenna came up to me and offered me a stick of gum. It was obviously fake and there was some trick involved so I said no way. A few minutes later, little miss innocent Sophie comes and offers me the same stick of gum. I figure it can't be that bad so I go ahead and pull. Nothing happens so I pull harder, thinking I'm safe. WRONG move. That thing sent a shock up my arm so hard I could still feel it 10 minutes later.

Those with a weak stomach should not look at the next picture...a brown recluse spider bite.

I warned you...

One more thing about me...

Kerry reminded me that I forgot to tell you all about my triumph at tennis today...

In each tennis class, we accumulate points. Usually the
high-point-getter is my son, which ever one I bring that day. Today the high point getter was ME...I got 20 points! The next one down was Steven, he got 10 points! I am very pleased with myself today, although I was too tired to go and hit golf balls tonight, I must go to bed early to be ready for my soccer game tomorrow.

Griffin had a Party!

Griffin had his first birthday party, it was great fun. Glad we did it, glad it is done. They played on the water slide, had cake, opened presents.

We've been gone....

It is so nice to see so much posting on this site!! And posting from lots of "authors". We were gone from any access to cell phones or websites...it was hard, but we did it.

While we were gone we went to
That Famous Preston Night Rodeo

Some of our favorite jokes were:
What do you call blondes in a freezer.......frosted flakes
What do you call a dog with no legs....it doesn't really matter, it won't come anyway.
