Happy New Year!!!

We are on our way to a New Year's Eve Party at the Sportsman's Lodge in Studio City. They are serving dinner (prime rib, salmon, lamb, shrimp, lobster, etc.) yummy for me, and a big band is playing so we can dance - fun for Gil. I can't dance like I used to, but I still like to get dressed up. I'm wearing Erin Stevens' maternity dress. She is the person who is attributed with bringing back swing dance. She founded Pasadena Ballroom Dance Association with her sister. That's where Gil and I go dancing every Saturday. She was nice enough to bring me some of her dancing dresses for me to wear while I was pregnant. I thought that was very nice of her. It should be a fun night.

Happy New Year to everyone! Hope you have a wonderful year! Love you!!!

I'm especially impressed that you get straight A's!! You are Fabulous!! Please always remember that being a gentleman will never go out of style. I love you. Nana

Jimmy learned to roll over

Jimmy WAS the name of Justin's jeep. So yesterday me and Justin were on our way over to Montana to see his family and some of our friends for New Years. We made it half way to Pocotello ID. The roads where fine not much snow at all! Sadly how ever we hit a patch of black ice. Justin tired to correct it but it ended up over correcting and we went off the road into a snowie meadowish thing we hit about a foot and half of snow and then we rolled. The cab broke into about a million peice's as we rolled and all of our stuff flew out. We rolled about 9 times. When we finally stopped we landed on the driver side where Justin immediatly got him out and lifted me up and unbuckled me and got me out of the car. About 4 or 5 cars stopped to make sure we were ok. One lady came up to us and asked if we were ok said that we could sit in her van and wait for the abolance to show up she had already called 911. She told us to gather our stuff together then come wait in the van. 2 sweeter than sweet guys who couldn't speak very much english asked if we were ok we nodded yes. and with out even asking them to they started to pick up our stuff and put it together in a pill. we were searching for justins phone and by the time we got to the start of were we started rolling we turned around and EVERYBODY was gone but the 2 latino guys! We couldn't find justin's phone but we called his mom to tell her what happend and her reply to all this was I'm on my way. We got to the hospital and all that was wrong was that Justin has a concusion and I'm just bruised, scrapped, cut a little bit, and I have little teeny tiny glass shareds in my face back and head. We practically walked away unharmed. Trust me i've have thanked god so many times over and over again that we are alive. So a little update. We are sore and tired. So that was are attempt to going to Montana. :)

I Love Christmas!!

The following blog took me over two hours to do!! I must love you all, but, now I feel like Maxine!!

A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

With Sophia's Gingerbread House we will wish you all a Merry Christmas and to all a Good Night!!

Everybody got new PJ's. Here is Lyssa in her 'nightie'.

More fun!

Candice is leading us in Jolly Old Saint Nicholas with the musical pipes. The children all enjoy this.

We have eaten, now we are participating in a cantata the Tatia has arranged. It is the Christmas story.

Candice and Gil - Oh - they are Looovebirds!!

Our beloved angel, Sophia.

Proud mom with her beloved Adam.

Two pretty women in red.

Candice and Jenna are toasting the season.

Dad is trimming the ham. Diana is tossing the salad.

Don is watching a game on TV. Whew, I hope I am halfway through now, I am getting tired.

Here is Katie and her Dad waiting to eat!

"We are the sheep if His pasture."Ps. 100:3 This one is in the thicket. He will be found by Elder Chase.

Here is Nana's new picture of the SL Temple. It has the Brigham Young monument standing in front of it. On that Brigham Young monument is the list of all the pioneers who came across the plains with Brigham in the first Vanguard. Our Grandfather, Charles Harper's name is on that monument. He was the "wheelwright" for the company. To the right of that picture is the comb, brush, and shaving Holder that hung on the back of Grandfather Harpers wagon as it trudged along the trail in 1847!! Isn't that amazing. I have two things that are very valuable to me. One is that comb and brush holder - the other, my little rag doll, "Lushenka" that I made when I was 12. She now resides at Julie's house. I still love her.

Here is Jenna with her Gingerbread House that she has just made. It will be the centerpiece for the table.

Christmas wreath in the bathroom. Candice, carrying "Lobo" is looking in Tatia's scrapbook.

The Christmas Cards were abundant.

We didn't forget our Missionary. We are so proud of him. He has the right spirit and this will be one of his most memorable Christmases!

The Elves, reindeer, Santa, and toys were welcome.

First signs of Christmas.

The other tiny Christmas tree comes out every year.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care in hopes that Santa Candice soon would be there!

The tree was laden with memories galore!

The stairway was dazzling with Christmas delights!

The shoes were thrown in the corner with carelessness!
