How To Make a 9 Hour Trip Turn Into 12 Hours

It took us less than 9 hours to go from home to Provo! Astonishing! We stopped once in St. George for gas and food and potty.

We made up for all that good time on the way home. It took us 12 hours. We made 15 stops - we had a good time, though. Everyone was happy....doesn't that count for anything??

STOPS:
1. Provo - Barnes and Noble to find Quinn a book. Zak declined the offer to get him the next book in his series.
2. Provo - return Christopher's jacket to him. One hug from Christopher, (he also took a bagel) and one hug from Steven. That was nice.
3. Provo - Reams - buy more bagels and cream cheese.
4. Provo - Seagull Books - Zak decided he really DID want that book and while there, I went potty.
5. Provo - Barnes and Noble - still trying to find Zak's book.
6. Provo - Arctic Circle - "Oh look, there's Artic Circle, can we all get shakes?"
7. Payson - search for a Jiffy Lube. My lights kept blinking, I thought it was a sign, a blessed miracle before my car broke down. We had called Christopher and miraculously his computer told him there was a Jiffy Lube right there in Payson. That happened to be our next exit! Miracle! It sounded like an easy address, Payson is NOT that big. We spent 20 minutes looking for that blessed place - only to find out HOURS later that Christopher's computer thought Payson, UT was close to Payson, AZ! I finally pulled over to the side of the road, grabbed a napkin and checked my oil myself!! It was fine! The light sensor was apparently off. Thanks a lot. Whatever, we moved on.
8. Potty for me again.
9. St. George - Barnes and Noble, still looking for Zak's book.
10. St. George - Chevron - gas and everyone went potty.
11. St. George - Deseret Books - still looking.....The nice lady there called another book store in town, they had one more copy! She gave us great instructions.
12. Little Scholar Book Store - actual bought Zak's book!
13. St. George - McDonald's - more shakes, a little food.

Not a stop, but just after we pass through Arizona, we heard about Chase's mission call.

14. Stateline - I really had to go potty....again
15. Somewhere in California - I HAD to go potty again!
16. Around 11:30pm, HOME!
