Make Your Own

I taught Pre-school today.

We had a Science Day, it was fun.

One of the things we did was make our own Lava Lamp!

Fill a jar 3/4 full of vegetable oil.
Fill the rest with water.
Pick some food coloring, put a few drops in.
Shake it up.
When oil and water separate, drop in an Alka Seltzer!

Don't put the lid back on until a long time after the Alka Seltzer is done, as you will make a small bomb.

Very entertaining.


We also made Carbon Dioxide gas blow up a balloon.

Time flies!

Time is flying, really flying. It is June, already. I'm shocked and appalled! We missed her birthday! But, Happy Birthday, Jessica. We all love you so much. You have always been a happy and a delightful child. May every day be a good day for you. (now, throw away all your free coupons.) I love you . . .

To Haley: "Happy Graduation" from High School and Seminary. She also got a 3.5 average, which made Bumpa and me proud.

I just want to say, we are proud of ALL our grandchildren. But today, is Sophie's day.

I just got gas for my car. The tank wasn't quite yet on 1/2 empty. I just wanted to fill up before the prices got even higher. I had to pay $4.01 a gallon!! I am sick and need to go to bed now.

Just a Question...

Do you in Utah feel, or have you heard that being called Ma'am is kind of rude because it means the "Ma'am" is bossy?

Chase has a friend whose mother feels that way. Some of my children will call me Ma'am every now and then, I think it funny.

P.S. what kind of word is Ma'am?

Someone ought to come by and show me. Do you realize i'm 72 and none of my old friends do this. Sooo, I have to have lots of young friends.

Thank you all, dear children, for remembering me (Mother's Day). I got a plethora of wonderful candy and a delightful homemade card from Julie, an enjoyable call from Bart in Payson, a card and promises from beloved husband (we both were very sick with flu symptoms.) a fabulous dinner (Carne Asada) cooked by Don and Tatia, a song from Jenna and Sophie, and a wonderful hug from CMP when she came home from CA with beloved spouse, Gil (who also gave me a hug). I didn't need anything from Dawney, I know she loves me.

The Credit Goes To Nana

I have used Icy Hot for a long time.

While at Nana's house, she had Icy Hot in a balm.

It is WAY better than the cream. It stays on longer and seems to feel hotter. I bought my own jar this evening. AND I told my check-out lady/girl about it and SHE is going to get some for herself.

Family Tree

Last time I saw Bumpa, he told me that his dad's grandma was part Cherokee (I think it was Cherokee). That translates into my great great great grandma. If she was 1/2 cherokee, that makes Bumpa 1/16, my mom 1/32, and me 1/64. Not enough to help anyone get any scholarships or government benefits, but I thought I would share anyway.

We just got back from Tim's Graduation, so here are some pictures with Critter's help! Tim and Topher, cousins, are here after his graduation. Next, with his very proud Mom & Dad. Then we were all starving so we went to lunch. Tim picked. Chuck 0 Rama!! We pigged out. Chase and Steven would be proud! Last Pic is of Erica and Chase. Mmmm, lovely couple. Dawney tells me that on "My Face Book" it is written Chase is in a relationship!! Chrisrtopher checied. We found nothing!! Whatever. Erica was adorable. OK - Now to my nap.!
