"Out, Darn'd Spot - Out I Say!"

The SPOT for me is my gallbladder.
I have gall stones, they will not be still, so the whole gallbladder must come out. The gallbladder will never heal itself, it will never get better, it will only get worse.
I am having surgery on April 21st. It will be done lapriscopically and as an outpatient - get 'em in, get 'em out!
Just thought I would let you all know.
Come on now, no one else has had any gallbladder pain??

Wow, Julie. That sounds painful. I'm sure your surgery will go great. Ask for versaid (?) It makes you happy.

I passed a kidney stone a few years back. Certainly not related, but both involve the word stone...

hope it goes well

WOW. How long has it been hurting? I know you HATE going to the doctor so it must have been pretty bad. Do you like your doctor? Do you ever watch the TV show House, M.D.? It is my latest discovery. I love it, but don't start watching it now if you don't. Terrible things always go wrong with his patients, but I find it fascinating the way the camera zooms from the outside of the body through all the layers of skin, muscle, tissue, organ, etc. to where the problem is and shows us what the problem looks like inside the body...

Yes, the quote is Macbeth.
Yes, I have had the pain for awhile. Yes, it was intense, hence I saw a doctor. I did watch a bit of House, liked it, then didn't. I like A LOT of TV, it is always nice to find something I don't need to watch. I checked out all the doctors that my HMO would let me go to and found one that seemed the best educated and that I could pronouce his name. I think he is VERY good, he explained a lot and seemed to be capable. And his nurse seemed to like him too.
