HOORAY! AND I want you all to know that Gil and I only saw Slum Dog, we didn't see any of the others. It was all just a guess!!!!

isn't it amazing how much you can guess just from the buzz going around. We had only seen The Changling that day -- which by the way is a really great movie.

I'm impressed girlie-que! 8 out of 8!!! WOOO HOOO

Dawney, please tell us about the Changeling!

Is it a true story?
Does she get her real child back ever?

It seems like a horrible thing to do to a parent.

First off, it is really hard for me to like Angelina Jolie--but she actually is a good actress.

The story is true. It WAS a horrible thing to do. But as I told Mark, finding the boy, 5 months later and half a country away was a great big WIN for the LAPD and their attitude was 'We have a happy ending, now just SHUT UP about it'.

The mother is incredibly brave, her husband abandoned her when she had their son so she is a single mother, working in 1928. Very difficult situation. She says to her boy, at the beginning of the movie -- "Never start a fight, always finish one".

The movie is directed by Clint Eastwood and he has such a light touch as a director. The whole thing is beautifully done. (He learned when he was making Westerns that when the director said "Action" everyone tensed up and the scenes would end up wooden. So he never says that. He just says "Places... and whenever you are ready...") WATCH THE SPECIAL FEATURES!!

Ok, so, Dawney, in the movie, she gets her child back?

And, what happens to the other fake child, where does he end up?

I can't tell you about her son--it is an intricate part of the plot. The fake child was eventually returned to his mother.
