Weight Loss Monday Meeting

Welcome to our first Monday Meeting! First of all, I just want to say how proud I am of everyone trying to be a little bit better this week. We are on the right track.

For our meeting, you can post or comment, whatever is easier. As you share your week, may I suggest a couple of options:

1. Share something positive that happened this week.
2. Share a challenge you are struggling with or have a question about.
3. The rest is up to you . . . you can share your goals, any weight loss success, or suggestions for next week.

Thanks for coming. We'll see you next week.

If Tatia can comment early then I can too!!

Positive: I set a daily calorie goal for myself and I'm being faithful in keeping track of what I eat.

Challenge: I miss eating food without thinking about it or even concerned about how many calories it is.

Weight loss goal: I want to lose 20 pounds in total. I will try and do that by losing a pound a week. My nursing website said I should only be losing 1-2 lbs. a MONTH. I hope I can do more than that!

Exercise goal: MWF running. T/TH elliptical.

I'm proud of myself for exercising M-F this week. Even if I don't lose weight quickly I want to feel like I'm doing something to get back to normal.

Gil has been great to watch Teo for me so I can go exercise. It's my alone time and I really look forward to it.

Candice, glad you are getting us started. Dad and I walk every morning at 7 AM. For summer time I am trying to eat mostly fruits and veggies. (Picked two tomatoes from my patch this morning.and two cucs)!! soo happy. However, for two months now I have tried to get lower in weight than 152lbs. but can't seem to get below that. I won't give up. still want to lose 10 more lbs. Keep up the good work. and, yes, the one to lose the most lbs. will get a small donation from your Mother. Love you.

1. My positive: I have lost weight!
2. my challenge: just learning to "enjoy" THAT feeling...is it hunger, or just missing sugar; can't tell.
3. I am just personally focusing on what to eat, writing it down, watching those numbers, finding and CHOOSING the correct and good things to eat. I also realize that this is the easier 1st week; week #2 will be far more difficult. I am trying to prep my brain for that!

Julie, I always used to say, "It's good to feel hungry." but now, being older, I am soo happy to have a pill if I want to take it, that can help me not to feel hungry and still have some energy.
My positive: Am now picking homegrown veggies from my garden!!
Another positive: Am so glad my R.S. lesson has been delivered.
Not positive: My eyes keep filling up with tears today - just heard from a friend that an older friend (an angel, really) has been admitted to the hospital with pneumonia (the balm of the aged). I shall go visit her today. If it is too late, I will be happy for then she will be conversing with her husband and friends who are already there. Her name is Midge.

I am trying to exercise 2X daily. Walking in the AM and elliptical in the PM
Sometimes it is a killer
Also I mini tramp 10 mins after I elliptical.
Yesterday I even did 50 reps of 20# curls.
My advise: If you think it is hard to loos now..... wait and see 10 years from now.... or 25 in my case!!!

"NEVER CHEAT.... NEVER GIVE UP!

LOVE YA ALL
