How is it shocking? I definitely see it as a political maneuver -- McCain is obviously trying to woo those Hillary supporters.
I do think it's a good choice, but she was obviously chosen mostly because she is a woman... and that's sad.
Palin cannot woo the hillary voters because she is opposed to everything hillary stands for. It would only work if the hillary voters were only voting for hillary because she was a woman...that would be really sad.
