Spinning Wheel

I have been spinning for almost a year now. I started out on a hand held spindle. Last year, for Christmas, my kids bought me a spinning wheel. This is what I do for relaxation.

I can't believe all the yarn you have made. So you'd rather do that than read fiction books? What do you do next with the yarn?

When I read fiction books I go into a world all by myself. I don't talk to anyone, I don't do anything else. Very unhealthy.

When I spin, it is a work of creativity. My family talks to me, and I respond. I can get up at any moment and take care of what ever needs to be done. Most of the time, Mark reads to me while I spin and we have marvelous conversations.

Right now most of the yarn is that box. I am weaving a very small tapestry--I'll probably bring that with me on the boat. The white batch I am spinning now, I am going to dye, and then sell at an art gallery where they know me. If that works out, I'll do more.
